Lessons in Beauty

Over the years I have created a signature beauty look that usually consists of a simple cat eye and a red or deep pink pout. But that look changes throughout the seasons.

In summer I swap my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30. I also might ditch my usual eye shadow  and liquid liner for a swipe of Nars Illuminator in Orgasm. In October I pull out my Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Witches (the best black lipstick a goth girl could ever want). And around the holidays I might add a little shimmer or, on rare occasions, glitter, to my makeup routine.

I’d like to think I’ve found what works for me. But I’ve had plenty of beauty blunders along the way. Here are just a few of the mistakes I have lived and learned from as a devotee to the beauty industry:

Beauty Blunders

What are some of the beauty blunders that you’ve made? Do any of these sound familiar?

Haha love this post – one of the best things about makeup is that it’s OK to experiment and break the “rules” sometimes! My most prominent one would have to be wearing WAY too much dark eyeliner in my teen years lol! Thanks for sharing this!

That probably should have been the flip side of my “no eyeliner” mistake because I did the same thing! I feel like in my teens I either went without it and my eyes just sunk back into my face or I put way too much on and looked like a racoon!

Even though I’m naturally a little tan, I look back on those pictures from when I refused to wear blush and I looked like a corpse! Thanks for stopping by!
