Friday Finds

This week’s Friday Finds once again focuses on my recent beauty favorites. I didn’t even realize the beauty kick that I’ve been on until now!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow • Urban Decay • $19

This may look like a very intense color but it actually goes on as a very sheer pink that you can build upon until you get your desired look. I saw this on the receptionist at my tattoo parlor, a pixie of a woman with light pink hair and I knew I had to find this. I’ve worn it on its own as a pink wash over my lid with some mascara and then I’ve used it in my classic smokey eye and I have received nothing but compliments; most of them noting that the pink hue matches my hair!

Maison Margiela Women’s Jazz Club • Maison Margiela • $126

This is such a sexy fragrance. It may actually be a men’s scent but I don’t care. I love it! It smells of smoke and bourbon and everything you’d find at a Jazz Club. It may also appease my obsession with all things 1920s and this definitely has a flapperesque vibe to it.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer • It Cosmetics • $24

Full disclaimer – I got this in my Sephora Play! Box the other night. It claims to make even the most tired eyes look well rested. So after I had to drive my sister and her boyfriend to the airport at 4:30 a.m. the other morning, I decided to put it to the test when I looked in the mirror before heading to work and noticed that I looked less than refreshed. It is a very thick formula and I was alarmed at how light it looked on my skin when I first applied it (I received the sample in the medium shade). But when I blended it with my foundation I immediately saw a difference. With the exception of my blood shot eyes I looked well rested, even glowing! I have a feeling I’ll be using this after a lot of indulging over the holiday season.
