How to Keep Things Hot this Valentine’s Day

Every year around this time my inbox is flooded with my favorite fashion bloggers and brands proclaiming what to wear for a Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day date. Strappy dresses in pretty pinks and romantic reds as well as lots of lace and filmy fabrics decorate my inbox from the end of January to mid-February. And as nice as it is to get a break from the winter wear advertisements that I seem deal with from October to March, I live in a climate where putting on my favorite cocktail dress in the middle of winter is just not an option. Here are a few last minute date night outfit ideas for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to live in a tropical climate …

Lace & {Faux} Leather

Ladylike lace mixed with some sexy faux leather pants will set hearts racing. Add a luxurious faux fur coat, some kickass boots (with heart charms no less!) and a pink pout to complete this entrancing, yet warm, ensemble.

Romantic in Red

Deep burgundy and luxurious garnet hues are always captivating. This pretty sweater dress is romantic with its bell sleeves and provides plenty of protection from the cold. Add a little allure with some thigh high black boots layered over some lacy stockings. Then top it off with an adorable pom pom hat that matches the deep red fur on this winter-approved coat and you have another knockout look that will take you from a fancy dinner to a night at the movies.

Netflix & Chill

Not all date nights mean a night out on the town. If your plans are more home based this Valentine’s Day, why not slip into something more comfortable? These gorgeous silk pajamas and matching silk robe will definitely do the trick. Add a little touch of frou frou with these adorable slippers and let your ears do the talking with these pretty little rose gold heart studs.

What will you be wearing this Valentine’s Day?
