We’ve finally had a bit of warmer weather in New England and while it may be my own fault for not buying maternity pants, I am so excited to leave jeans behind and jump into dresses. Here are 3 trends to embrace this spring – Maternity Edition.
White Eyelet
Everywhere I go I’ve been seeing eyelet dresses and I did pick up some matching white eyelet outfits for my girls (so excited I get to say that!) for this summer. But this white eyelet dress from ChiChi London (not maternity, FYI), with its long sleeves, is more of a spring piece. This may be what I wear this Easter if the weather cooperates because it is so comfortable and cute.
I’ve found a few maternity and non-maternity (though loose) white eyelet dress options if you’re on the search.

A denim jacket over a sundress is always a classic spring/summer look and can certainly be adapted for a mom-to-be. I also shared this satin smocked maternity midi dress from PinkBlush Maternity as one of my Valentines Day Maternity Outfits (it’s great for petite moms-to-be!). Even as my bump has gotten bigger, it is still super flattering and paired with a cropped denim jacket, it is perfect for a springtime cookout or a casual wedding (don’t forget to read more on my Best Maternity Wedding Guest Dresses).

I know, I know. In the words of the iconic Miranda Priestly (aka Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada), “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”
I am definitely not big into floral prints as most of the time I find them somewhat dowdy. But every once and a while I stumble upon a piece that is stunning. The dress above I found in BJs … BJs … as in the wholesale club. At the time I really wavered on whether or not I should buy it because while I loved the print, I had no idea how it would hold up at less than $18. That was four years ago and I have worn this dress over and over again (FYI this is also not a maternity dress) and everytime I get so many compliments on it.
I found a few floral maternity dresses that would be perfect for spring below.

[…] In other news, I am still dealing with heartburn, though the morning sickness is 90% gone – woohoo! I am still able to wear my regular jeans under the bump but I am so ready for spring and warmer weather so I can start wearing dresses! […]
