What it’s Like to Have a Miscarriage

If Holly Golightly took a family road trip to Rhod If Holly Golightly took a family road trip to Rhode Island, I like to think her first day would look a little something like this. 🥂✨

Newport is basically a masterclass in high-low travel, which is exactly my love language. We kicked off our first day channeling pure Gilded Age glamour at Rosecliff (highly recommend letting your girls pretend they own the place on the back lawn), before shifting gears for lunch at Pasta Beach and a wind-in-our-hair spin down the Scenic Drive.

We balanced out the opulent sparkle with the moodier, gorgeous architecture of Kingscote, did a little cobblestone strutting down Bannister’s Wharf, and wrapped the whole glorious marathon exactly where we belong: on the patio at O’Briens. They even let the kiddos fish with magnetic rods and matching “fish” in the fountain!

Because there is nothing chicer than pairing a fabulous outfit and a head full of historic architecture with a cold drink and casual pub food while Alex and I wrangle the girls.

Who says you can’t have the mansions and the casual pints, too? Not us.

Tell me your travel style below—are you team Gilded Age glamour, or team pub-patio-with-a-pint? (Or if you’re like me, you absolutely refuse to choose). 👇✨

When asked about the future, she skips the predictable and goes straight for the extraordinary: “I’m going to be a butterfly.” 🦋

Never lose that spark, sweet girl. Don’t let anyone convince you to dim your glitter, fit into a tiny box, or stay grounded when you were born to take flight. Go show preschool what you’re made of—sparkle, grit, and pure magic.

The wings already suit you. 🦋✨

They say packing for a family road trip is a marat They say packing for a family road trip is a marathon, but honestly? It’s just the perfect excuse to curate a killer high-low travel wardrobe. 🥂✨

From a private tour of the Empire State Building to chasing Arielle and Aurora through Newport mansions, this trip was all about blending Parisian nonchalance with a little NYC grit. Whether I was dusting off a vintage Armani straw hat for tea at The Plaza or living in a $30 wrinkle-proof Amazon dress 100 stories up at The Edge, the mission was simple: look fiercely put-together without sacrificing a drop of comfort. Because yes, you can absolutely museum-hop, wrangle kids, and still serve unapologetic glamour. 🖤🎀

“Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” ✈️✨ “Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” ✈️✨

There’s something undeniably electric about taking the literal pilot’s seat, feeling the engine hum, and realizing just how wide open the sky actually is. I snapped this right after flying a plane - a life’s dream of mine come true. And looking at it today, the metaphor hits a little differently. We lost the ultimate trailblazer today, and I can’t help but raise a champagne coupe to the woman who paved the runway so the rest of us could take off.

Long before we were unapologetically blending motherhood, business strategy, and the perfect shade of pink, Gloria Steinem was out there doing the heavy lifting with absolute grit. She went undercover as a Playboy Bunny to expose the toxic reality of women’s working conditions, co-founded Ms. Magazine when the publishing world was an exclusive boys’ club, and helped launch the National Women’s Political Caucus to ensure our voices actually mattered. She didn’t just politely challenge the status quo—she set it on fire.

Because she had the audacity to dream, we get to own our complete stories today. We get to fiercely love our daughters, build our brands, rock the vintage glamour, and literally fly the plane.

Rest in power, Gloria. You imagined a world with no ceilings, glass or otherwise. Here’s to keeping her legacy alive, owning our ambitions, and turning our own bold leaps of imagination into plans. 🥂🖤

And just like that, we have a first grader. 🎒✨ I And just like that, we have a first grader. 🎒✨

I have spent the entire summer watching this girl turn the world into her own personal canvas—whether she’s painting outside the lines, finding the magic in the everyday, or just bringing her unapologetic sparkle to every single room she walks into.

Sending her off today is that wild, beautiful collision of wanting to freeze time and being overwhelmingly excited to see what she creates next. First grade is officially getting a fiercely independent, deeply kind little artist, and I could not be prouder.

Here is to the beautiful chaos of new chapters, packing lunches before the sun comes up, and watching our girls step out into the world to completely own their story. 🥂🖤

Tell me: what is one piece of advice you would give your first-grade self? 👇

Darling, I’ve always said the right accessory chan Darling, I’ve always said the right accessory changes everything, and apparently, my girls are taking notes. We traded our usual city haunts for a little unapologetic whimsy at Fairy Hollow in the New England Botanic Garden.

The aesthetic? Woodland chic with a heavy dose of childhood wonder. Arielle decided her ensemble was simply incomplete for fairy hunting, so naturally, she sourced a fresh pair of wings from the gift shop. Honestly, I respect the commitment to the look.

Watching them sprint through the blooms, totally convinced there was magic behind every leaf, was exactly the kind of beautiful chaos I live for. Let them wear the tulle. Let them chase the magic. I’ll just be right behind them, soaking up the greenery and pretending I’m the queen of this enchanted forest.

Have you brought your little sprites to the Botanic Garden yet? Tell me I’m not the only one whose kid insists on a gift-shop wardrobe change! 👇✨🌿
