I previously shared that while there are two camps for holiday outfits, the “relaxed and casual holiday outfit” and the “wear your Sunday best,” my family has historically fallen into the latter category. But the last few holidays, since we’ve been staying at home, I’ve been a bit lax in dressing up. And though we will once again be relaxing at home, I am getting so tired of wearing loungewear. So I am stepping it up. Here are three Easter outfit ideas that are perfect for spring.
For Staying Home
Green is such a great color for spring and as a pink lover, it goes so well with my signature hue. I love these loden green trousers, they’re so comfortable! The palm print cardigan (I’ve linked a few similar options here and here) matches well and the ballet pink tank top is the perfect layering tool. Adding in the metallic loafers gives the outfit a little bit of glamour for the holiday.
For the Family Get Together
About a month ago I shared the best ways to casually style a blazer and this pink one with a pair of jeans has become one of my go-to looks. It’s also a bit more dressed up than your typical cardigan so when your aunt asks you what you’ve been doing all year, you’re more likely to have the confidence to tell her about that business you launched, rather than that collection of empty ice cream tubs you’ve been acquiring.
For Getting Fancy
If you’re ready to get really fancy, (and seriously, after a year of sweats, who isn’t?) why not don a bright pencil skirt and heels for your holiday get-together. Bonus points if it’s sequined! I love wearing my pencil skirts with band tees and statement necklaces, which gives a rock’n’roll edge to the look.
