Believe it or not, I was almost 13 weeks pregnant in the picture above. We were in St. Lucia in December 2018 and I was in the thick of morning sickness. When I asked the bartenders for virgin Pina Coladas, they kept telling me the drinking age was 16 on the island. I would reply that I was, “drinking for 2” – that’s when they understood. While I was determined to buy as little in the maternity department during my pregnancy as possible, I did find a few pieces that I loved. This time around, I think I’ll be updating my wardrobe a little more but for now, keep reading for my favorite maternity fashion moments from my first pregnancy.
December 2018 – Still able to fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes so I hid my tiny bump with my favorite faux-fur coat during tea at the Wenham Tea House.
February 2019 – Finally showing at 22 or 23 weeks so I broke out this H&M dress that Meghan Markle wore in off-white during her pregnancy (which was coincidentally at the same time I was pregnant) for our Valentine’s Day Date at MarketStreet Lynnfield.
April 2019 – This dress is technically a maternity dress, but I’ve worn it since post-baby and get compliments on it every time. The first time I wore it was to tea at the Boston Harbor Hotel with my mom and it was so comfortable and chic.
Late April 2019 – I sized up on this non-maternity find from Zara for my baby shower, but I also wore it for my maternity shoot and I loved how these photos came out. I wore the same bracelets and Jimmy Choo shoes for my wedding day which made this outfit very special to me.
May 2019 – I know so many women who dressed so quietly during their pregnancies – like they’re preparing for life in the background of their children’s adventures. That’s not me. I am looking forward to pulling this leopard print number out of my closet for later on in my pregnancy because it is flattering and stylish.
Late May 2019 (a week before I gave birth) – Neither this dress, nor the cheetah print kimono are actually maternity, just loose. This was basically my uniform for the entire summer after I had Arielle and I always felt comfortable and cute.
