Spring is finally blooming in New England and I am feeling the itch to enjoy the outdoors. Here are a few things that I am looking forward to this season, my Spring bucketlist.
Plant our Garden and Watch the Flowers Grow
I’ve never had a green thumb, but Alex is really good with plants. Right now our entire front yard is covered in daffodils and tulips, so dreamy. At the end of May we’ll plant our vegetable garden and Arielle has her own little flower box where we planted some wildflower seeds a few weeks ago. She takes her little watering can out every few days to tend to them. I cannot wait for her to see them start to sprout!
Take a Day Trip
A week ago I shared some of my favorite day trip ideas North of Boston, which got me thinking about our next day trip. It’s been so long since we’ve visited one of my favorite childhood haunts. I think that as long as we stay safe and socially distance, we’d be good to take a day trip on a warm day this Spring.
Enjoy Walks around the Lake with Arielle
We are so lucky that we live right off a beautiful lake that is perfect for getting some air. Arielle particularly loves it when we take a walk because she enjoys seeing all of the people. I think it’s because almost every single one of them coos over her!
Celebrate Mother’s Day
Arielle was born a few weeks after Mother’s Day in 2019, so last year was my first time celebrating – in quarantine. While we still will be laying somewhat low this year, I am looking forward to it. Maybe we’ll take that day trip I’m looking forward to, or maybe we’ll take a walk around the Lake. Either way, as long as I’m with my little family, I’ll be happy.
Am I the only one feeling a spring in my step lately (pun intended)? What’s on your Spring bucketlist?
