Welcome back to the April edition of What We’ve Been Loving Lately! In this installment of our wrap-up of a few of the things we’ve been into over the past few weeks, we’re sharing life updates, what we’ve been watching and what we’ve crossed off of our shopping list. Here’s what we’ve been loving lately …
Spring has finally Arrived …
And not a day too soon! While I still fit into my jeans, I do find them to be rather uncomfortable after a meal. I am really looking forward to dresses, sandals, and all around roomier pieces. I also just really hate the cold.
Prepping for my next big Adventure
I’ll be sharing more in May about how I’ve been preparing for our impending arrival, such as what I am packing in my hospital bag, how we’re making Arielle feel special during her last few days as an only child and all about her big fourth birthday celebrations. I have been trying to get things done early so I can focus my attention on her and not worry about not being ready. Not only do I feel it’s better for her, it’s also helping with my nervous feelings about welcoming baby #2.
What’s on TV
After the first season of Ted Lasso I have to say that even though season 2 was good, it was a little depressing. This is coming from someone who deals with anxiety on a daily basis. So far season 3 has been much more promising, especially episode 6 in Amsterdam. Also, for anyone who has been to Amsterdam, you will love the scenery they capture. It made me ache to go back!
What We Bought in April
As I mentioned, I am prepping my hospital bag which I will share more of next month. But I’ll share just a few of the things I bought in April including the most adorable shower cap I’ve ever seen. I also picked up an inexpensive makeup brush set that I don’t have to feel bad about losing while in the hospital (which I think I would cry if I lost any of my good brushes). And I don’t go anywhere without bringing a silk pillowcase with me!
To finish up getting the nursery ready for two little girls, I bought another box of hangers for Arielle, and a smaller size hanger for our baby on the way. We also are trying to get Arielle’s artwork organized without relegating everything to the attic so we found these awesome frames that allow you to display your child’s masterpieces.
I also pulled out my Nordstrom gift cards that I’ve been stockpiling and got myself a little treat in this GORGEOUS Kurt Geiger Small Shoreditch Convertible Crossbody Bag. I know that I have a lot of bags but when I saw this beauty I had to have it! It’s now sold out but sometimes they bring items back.
What have you been loving (or not loving) lately? I’d love it if you’d email or DM me your recommendations.
