What We’ve Been Loving Lately (May Edition)

Welcome back to our monthly series – What We’ve Been Loving Lately! This is the fourth installment of our wrap-up of some of the things we’ve been into over the past few weeks. If you haven’t read the April edition, you can check that out too for some great suggestions on shows and products. So, here’s what we’ve been loving lately …

We Have a 3-Year-Old 

Or, as I like to call her, a threenager. I shared more about Arielle’s big accomplishments and what she’s been loving lately here, but I will share that even with her little ‘tude, I am really loving how she’s become my little best friend. It is really fun and I am going to soak it up for as long as I can!

The West Wing

The Newsroom was on right when I was finishing up my grad degree in journalism and starting in my own first newsroom so I ate that stuff up. And while sometimes I feel Aaron Sorkin can be a bit smug, I do enjoy the fast-paced cadence of his writing. I wasn’t out of grammar school when The West Wing was in its heyday, so I doubt I would have been super interested in it then. But I’m so glad we discovered the whole series on HBOMax now. And even though it took place at the turn of the millennium and it feels like so much has happened in 20+ years, it’s surprising at how timely the focus of the show is. Plus the characters are really well developed which makes it easy to get sucked in. 

What I Bought in May

I’m cheating here when I tell you we bought an Arendelle Playhouse because it was actually purchased at the end of April. However, it was Arielle’s big birthday gift so I didn’t want to reveal too much! Now that it is sitting in our yard, I can share that she is in love with it. She tries to sell “ice cream” from the windows and it is the cutest thing you’ll ever see. Otherwise, most of my purchases were for Arielle’s Three-esta Birthday party which I can’t wait to share with you all soon!
