Last year we took Arielle to the Stone Zoo for the first time. And she had such a blast! She is a huge animal lover so seeing the fluffy bears and the elegant flamingos was right up her alley. Which is why I was so excited to get her back there this summer for their newest special exhibit, Supersized Creatures!
Throughout the park they huge animal sculptures made from thousands of colorful bricks. Arielle is fascinated by nature and to jump on this interest we’ve been teaching her about the ecosystem. So a day at the zoo to see these works of art was an awesome opportunity for us to show her that each sculpture relies on every brick to stand strong, kind of like how the ecosystem relies on every species, large and small for a balance.
When it came down to it, what Arielle was really impressed by was how big the sculptures were.
Thank you to the Stone Zoo for a wonderful day! Be sure to visit Zoo New England’s Stone Zoo this summer before September 4 to catch Supersized Creatures!
