I hate snow. What’s more, I hate snow boots. I hate how bulky and heavy they can be. And I hate how they can ruin an outfit. But a few years ago as I was preparing for my January 2018 trip to Iceland and England I discovered the Joan of Arctic II Waterproof Wedge Boot. And suddenly snow boots were no longer ugly. The slim design, the semi-distressed finish, these snow boots are (dare I say it) chic. I had finally found a fashionable and functional pair of snow boots!
They were all I wore during my trip – whether it was an excursion to the Blue Lagoon, or while shopping at Harrod’s. These boots will work with pretty much any outfit. I love to pair them with a pair of black jeans or a tweed pencil skirt and tights.

While you definitely need a thick, wool sock with these to keep your foot warm, they are 100% waterproof. And even with the wedge, which makes them that much more fashionable, I’ve never slipped, even on the iciest of days.
I originally bought them in grey, but during last year’s Nordstrom sale I picked up a black pair and when they go back on sale I’m seriously considering stocking up.
Here are a few other fashionable and functional snow boots:
I still hate snow, but at least this makes living in New England a bit easier and more fashionable!
