This will be Arielle’s 3rd Easter, but only her first spent with family outside of our little pandemic bubble and I think she is getting the idea of the holiday. Well, at least the commercialized idea.
We’ve watched Hop a million times and both Peter Rabbit movies. She had her first official visit with the Easter Bunny (also known as my sister, the good sport that she is), and she loves singing “Here comes Peter Cottontail.” And she cannot wait dye eggs and make some treats for Easter dinner.
All in all, I’d say this has been a very successful Easter season. I am really looking forward to our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday morning, getting dressed up and sitting down to dinner with my Nunny for her 100th Easter, and watching Arielle open up her basket.
I’m also looking forward to future Easters. I’d love to visit Germany for the Passion Play, or participate in the egg hunt on the White House lawn. I have some big plans for our little family!
But for now, I’m going to be so happy to spend the time with my favorite people.
Happy Easter and Chag Pesach Sameach (Happy Passover) from our family to yours.
