These days I feel like a completely different person. My skin feels soft and supple, I have more energy and I never feel lightheaded. And it’s all thanks to this Amazon product that got me to drink water.
Most of my life I have been dehydrated. I’ve just never been able to keep up my water intake throughout the day whether I was at work, working out, traveling, at school or just hanging around the house. Then Nalgene bottles became “the thing” to have when I was in high school. I couldn’t afford a real one but got a knock off in bright pink and it went everywhere with me.
I would refill it once, twice, even three times on some days. But in drinking all that water, I also had to go to the bathroom all the time. So as life got busier (college, jobs, etc.) I would forget my water bottle frequently and I started getting dehydrated again.
When I started breastfeeding I noticed that if I didn’t drink enough water, I didn’t produce enough milk for Arielle and I would feel woozy. I knew I needed to find a solution to my problem and soon. And I found it in the Hydracy Water Bottle.
The idea behind the bottle is extremely simple. It holds 32 ounces of water, exactly half of the suggested daily intake. On the side there are time markers for each hour of the day starting at 7 a.m. Each marker has two times, for example, 8 a.m. is paired with 2 p.m, 9 a.m. is paired with 3 p.m., etc. Before 8 a.m., you have to drink all the water up to the 8 a.m. line. Then the 9 a.m. line, and so on. Once you get to 1 p.m., you refill the bottle and do it again. By 7 p.m. I’ve had the suggested eight glasses of water for the day.
This way of timing water intake evenly makes sure that I get enough water but I don’t have to go to the bathroom all the time. With the exception of a few rather crazy days, I haven’t dealt with the headache and nausea that I get when I’m dehydrated.
This isn’t sponsored, I just really appreciate the simple genius behind this bottle and how it has helped me to drink more water. And with all the energy I now have, I’ve been able to get so much more done. Follow along with my daily adventures over on Instagram!
