Niagara Falls Family Adventure: 5 Must-See Attractions with the Niagara Parks Adventure Plus Pass

September 7, 2024

niagara-falls-family-vacation

Our recent trip to Niagara Falls was an unforgettable family experience. The awe-inspiring power of the falls, combined with the numerous kid-friendly attractions, made it a perfect destination for our family. One of the best decisions we made was to get Niagara Parks Adventure Plus Passes, which gave us access to several incredible attractions while saving us time and money. Here are our top five must-see attractions for families visiting Niagara Falls with the Adventure Plus Pass:

1. Journey Behind the Falls

Journey Behind the Falls offers a unique perspective of the majestic Horseshoe Falls. We took an elevator down 125 feet to tunnels leading to observation decks situated directly behind the cascading water. Feeling the mist on our faces and hearing the roar of the falls was an exhilarating experience that left a lasting impression on the whole family.

2. Niagara Parks Power Station and The Tunnel

This attraction was a hit with our kids! We explored the historic power station, learning about the fascinating history of hydroelectric power generation at Niagara Falls. The highlight was walking through the newly opened tunnel, which leads to a breathtaking viewing platform at the base of the falls. In fact, I think we may have nailed our holiday card photo there and you get a preview at the top of this post!

3. White Water Walk

The White Water Walk provided an exciting adventure along the Niagara River’s powerful rapids. The boardwalk offered stunning views of the turbulent waters and the surrounding gorge. It was an excellent opportunity to appreciate the raw power of nature while enjoying a safe and accessible experience.

4. Whirlpool Aero Car

The Whirlpool Aero Car was a thrilling ride that took us soaring above the Niagara Whirlpool. The antique cable car offered panoramic views of the swirling waters and the surrounding landscape. Our kids loved the feeling of floating high above the gorge, and it was a memorable experience for everyone.

5. Butterfly Conservatory

After all the excitement of the falls, the Butterfly Conservatory offered a peaceful escape. We wandered through a tropical paradise filled with thousands of colorful butterflies. The kids loved watching the butterflies flutter around them, and it was a beautiful and educational experience for all ages.

Our trip to Niagara Falls was truly magical, and the Niagara Parks Adventure Plus Pass made it even more enjoyable. The pass not only saves families money but also allowed us to skip the ticket lines at each attraction and maximize our time exploring. If you’re planning a family trip to Niagara Falls, I highly recommend purchasing the Adventure Plus Pass and checking out these five must-see attractions. You can pick up the pass here. Create lasting memories with your family at one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders!

A huge thank you to Niagara Parks for partnering with us on this post. My opinions, as always, are my own.

What it’s Like to Have a Miscarriage

Time-traveling to 1922 today. No passport required Time-traveling to 1922 today. No passport required, just my chicest sneakers and the stroller. ✈️✨

We just took the girls to the King Tut Experience @discoveringkingtut at The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza, and it was absolute magic. Since the original artifacts are permanently housed in Egypt and will never travel again, these dazzling, handcrafted replicas are literally the only way to experience this up close without booking a transatlantic flight to Cairo.

Stepping right into the shoes of Howard Carter and walking into the tomb was incredible, but here is the absolute Champagne Truth for my fellow mamas who want to do the cultured city things without the meltdowns:

✨ The Mama Notes:

The Sweet Spot: The whole experience takes about 35–45 minutes. That is the exact, golden window for toddler attention spans.

The Logistics: It is completely stroller-friendly. You can glide right through the history of the Boy King without breaking a sweat.

The Vibe: All ages are welcome, and the glowing, moody lighting keeps the kids totally mesmerized.

You can soak up a little culture, marvel at ancient treasures, and still make it to brunch looking fabulous. We love a high-low weekend moment. 🥂

Have you taken your littles to a museum lately? Tell me your survival secrets below! 👇

Champagne Truth #3: Reclaiming my skin, my style, Champagne Truth #3: Reclaiming my skin, my style, and my main character energy. 🥂

Let’s be real, darlings. There is a specific kind of “mom-fog” that settles in somewhere between the third load of laundry and the fourth cup of reheated coffee. You look in the mirror and the woman staring back feels... muted. Like a rough draft of the Muse you used to be.

That’s when the recovery mission begins. 🕶️💕

Turning 40 this summer means I’m making my own rules about how I step back into my main character energy. For me, that physical shift had to start with the canvas. I wanted a skin overhaul, but my biggest fear? Losing the little things that tell my story (yes, keep the eye crinkles, please!).

Enter Michelle at @rnesthetics_ma.

She founded this incredible business over 15 years ago with three young kids at home, so she deeply understands the assignment. She asked me what I loved about my face first, and then we formulated a plan at her stunning Lynnfield clinic. A little Hydrafacial prep with @franki.rnesthetics some strategic Botox to banish the tired 11s, and absolutely zero loss of expression.

Just me, but brighter, smoother, and ready for the leather jacket and pearls.

That reclaimed glow became the ultimate armor when I was asked to strut down the runway ahead of The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere. Let me tell you, stepping into that kind of spotlight at 4’11” takes a healthy dose of audacity—but when you’ve finally found the Muse in the Mom, you don’t just walk the catwalk, you own it. Putting on the outfit (🩷 my @macduggal dress) and taking care of my skin is how I remind the world (and myself) that while my heart belongs to my girls, my identity belongs to me.

Drop a 🥂 in the comments if you’re ready to treat yourself, and be sure to check out @rnesthetics_ma to book your own glow-up (they have gorgeous locations in Lynnfield, Salem, and Newburyport!).

What is the one thing—a skincare ritual, a vintage blazer, a bold lip—that makes you feel like you again? Let’s talk about our identity anchors below. 👇🖤

Still physically recovering from this weekend, cur Still physically recovering from this weekend, currently operating on dry shampoo, strong espresso, and the residual sparkle of those three days. It was an absolute doozy, but the best kind. ✨

Here is the weekend recap (on a Wednesday because I am just still exhausted):
* Friday: Kicked things off with the Spring Experience at The Boston Ballet. We hit Hob Goblin for dinner beforehand—our first time there, but definitely not the last. The food was phenomenal, and the cocktails? Literal potions that came with an incantation. I swear mine already came true. (Swipe to see the magic!) 🪄🥂
* Saturday: Recital day. Arielle hit the stage for her fourth recital and completely owned it like the pro she is. Aurora made her grand debut in the Tiny Twos, and while I basically held my breath the entire time, she was tu-tu adorable. We celebrated the only right way: at Kowloon. The girls were mesmerized by the giant fortune cookie for dessert (it was literally bigger than their heads). 🥠🩰
* Sunday: Kept the momentum going for Arielle’s rainbow mermaid birthday party with her classmates! 🧜‍♀️🌈 I played art instructor for the day, though we all know Arielle is the true artist-in-residence. Because she’s currently obsessed with Cake Boss reruns, my mom tracked down a cake straight from Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, and I whipped up some matching rainbow cupcakes to go with it. 🎂🧁

Monday morning rolled around and both girls woke up and immediately donned their tiaras. Honestly, I completely get it—when the weekend is this spectacular, you just refuse to let the magic end. 👑

I fully intended to get a Mother’s Day post up yes I fully intended to get a Mother’s Day post up yesterday, but I was too busy living it. Aside from traveling, there is nothing I love more than the beautiful, loud chaos of my family.

Alex spoiled us with a gorgeous brunch. Then he set up a fun obstacle course for Arielle and Aurora to tackle with Leyla and Chicho, while my mom watched, laughing at the madness. I snuck in some prep for Arielle’s upcoming birthday (I can never resist a good party-planning session). Throw in some epic ice cream sundaes and lullabies with my girls, and it was perfect. ✨

Speaking of songs, I had to share this sweet memory from our recent trip to the Museum of Science. Arielle captured this magical moment while Aurora serenaded me with You Are My Sunshine—one of the lullabies I sing to them every night.

And honestly? It’s true. When life gets tough, or the political landscape leaves me feeling hopeless, these two are the absolute sunshine that chases the grey clouds away.

As much as I love my career—the travel, the fashion, the glamour, the sheer joy of creating content—when you strip it all away, they are the reason I wake up every morning. I love showing them the world, proving to them that you can fiercely love your kids, be present, and still fiercely chase your own dreams. I want them to know you can absolutely get ready to walk a runway and still help them with a school science fair project—even when wearing sequins. 🪩🥂

I am lucky to have the support that I do, not every woman has that. But I still carry a massive weight on my shoulders, just like every mother out there. Beyond the everyday chaos of chauffeuring to activities and appointments, and making sure everyone is fed and functioning, there is the heavy, invisible load. It’s balancing my freelance schedule, creator events, and travel with Alex’s work commitments. And then there’s the late-night anxiety of wondering what kind of world are we leaving these kids?

To say motherhood is tough is the understatement of the century. But if I were given the chance to do it all differently? I would choose my children over everything, in every single lifetime.

My girls are my life, my love, my 🩷🩷
There are two types of people at Epcot on Cinco de There are two types of people at Epcot on Cinco de Mayo: those braving the midday Florida sun, and those of us who know the true luxury of the Mexico pavilion. 🌮✨

It is a completely different world in here—perpetual evening, top-tier air conditioning, and margaritas that actually deserve the hype.

Taking a slow boat ride with the family while enjoying a perfectly salted rim is my kind of ride.

Because you can absolutely be fully immersed in the mom-life hustle and still demand a chic cocktail break. 🍹

“Everybody wants this.” And honestly? Miranda Prie “Everybody wants this.” And honestly? Miranda Priestly was entirely right. 👠✨

I am still trying to convince myself I didn’t just dream up Thursday night walking the runway in honor of the sequel release for The Devil Wears Prada 2 with @showcaseus and @MarloMarketing!

But while walking a catwalk in a stunning Mac Duggal sequin dream had the butterflies working overtime, the real magic was in re-screening this film. You know I’m not just a regular fan; when the first movie was released in 2006, I was living in NYC, obsessed with fashion editorial, a theater major who had just rediscovered her love of writing.

From my TV journalism career to becoming a Content Creator (the irony of being part of the ‘downfall of print’ narrative isn’t lost on me!), my perspective on The Devil Wears Prada has completed a full 20-year circle.

This film is a sharp, brilliant examination of social media superseding traditional editorial, gender equality, the death of print, and the new guard stepping into the spotlight. Miranda would certainly have something cutting to say about it, but I thought it was stunning. There is a moment when you almost wonder if Miranda has lost her edge, until you realize—we’re all just so tired as women.

I don’t want to give away too much, but I left the theater feeling a bit like a traitor to part of my own work, and I immediately went out and bought the May issue of Vogue with Anna and “Miranda” on the front. I had forgotten how good it felt to sit down with a real glossy magazine in my hands. I need to do this more often.

I’ll still always believe in Vogue as my bible. Who else is as excited for the sequel as I am?! 🥂🎬🍿
