I remember my wedding as if it was yesterday. That beautiful, sunny August day could not have been more perfect. That doesn’t mean everything went smoothly, but the same thing goes for marriage. As I was planning our big day the one thing I said over and over was that as long as I had that ring on my finger at the end of the day and I could call Alex my husband, it would be a successful day. And that’s how I tried every day of our marriage. Here are seven things I’ve learned after seven years of marriage.
love does grow and the heart has more room than you can imagine
you need to learn to recognize your partner’s strengths and weaknesses …
as well as your own and you need to own up to them …
sometimes you need to talk things out and other times you need to give each other space …
not every day is going to be your best …
but when the good days outnumber the bad, that’s when you know it’s right …
and most of all, you need to take time to appreciate each other.
Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and happily ever after.
