While I am a summer person, spring has become a special season in my life and we have a lot on our plate for this particular spring. Here is my Spring Bucketlist – 2023 Edition.
Visit a Tulip Field
We’ve made a point of visiting a local tulip field for the past few years. So far we’ve hit Wicked Tulips in Exeter, RI, and then last year we visited Tip Top Tulips in Topsfield, MA and Cider Hill Farm’s Tulip Field in Amesbury, MA. It’s always a fun way to spend a few hours, and you get to bring home some lovely blooms to remind you of your family adventure. This year I’d love to find a new place to visit, maybe on our (still yet to be planned) babymoon?
Have a Quiet Mother’s Day
Last year’s Mother’s Day was tough. I had already gone through one miscarriage and I had an upcoming appointment that next week to determine whether or not the pregnancy I was currently carrying was actually viable – it turned out not to be. We did have a lovely time exploring The House of Seven Gables day of, but my mind was mostly elsewhere. This Mother’s Day I hope to spend some time with my little family and my mom, just relaxing.
Enjoy Arielle’s First Dance Recital
Arielle is always singing and dancing so I knew she would love attending one of the local dance schools for ballet and tap classes. Her upcoming recital may be one of the things I am most excited for this spring because her enthusiasm for performing knows no bounds.
Celebrate Arielle’s Birthday
I can’t believe my baby will be four this May! While we’ve offered her several options for a party theme, she insists she wants another Encanto celebration so I guess instead of a Three-esta, we’ll be having a Four-esta this year. Oh well – makes it a little easier on me to plan. We already have most of the decorations!
Finally, Have a Baby!
We’ll be ending our spring with a bang. Just like 2019, we’ll be wrapping up the season by welcoming a little girl into the family. This will be just in time for us to enjoy our summer as a family of four. I cannot wait to take Arielle and this new little one to some of our favorite warm-weather day trip destinations. Oh ya, and get some much needed rest whenever the baby is asleep!
What are you looking forward to this spring?
