The Lust List

Instead of sharing my usual list of things I’m lusting for right now, I am focusing on what the world needs right now: love, understanding, equality and peace.

Direct aid for victims’ families:

• The George Floyd Memorial Fund to cover funeral and burial costs; counseling services; legal fees; and continued care for his children
• The Official Gianna Floyd Fund, to provide for George Lloyd’s 6-year-old daughter
• I Run with Maud, raising money for Ahmaud Arbery’s mother
• Justice for Breonna Taylor, to help her family with legal fees and other support

Support for protesters:

• A Gas Mask Fund which is raising money to buy gas masks for demonstrators who’ve faced tear gas during protests in Minneapolis
• The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, which supports racial justice through advocacy, litigation, and education
• The Legal Rights Center is a non-profit law firm based in Minneapolis, offering legal defense, educational, and advocacy services
• Black Visions Collective, a black, trans, and queer-led social justice organization and legal fund based in Minneapolis-St. Paul
