After a couple of months off we are back with our monthly series – What We’ve Been Loving Lately! In this installment of our wrap-up of a few of the things we’ve been into over the past few weeks, we’re sharing life updates, what we’ve been watching and what we’ve crossed off of our shopping list. Here’s what we’ve been loving lately …
The Second Trimester
I recently hit 20 weeks pregnant and while I am still dealing with the occasional morning sickness (especially with the cold I had last week), I’m feeling much better than I did during my first trimester and the first half of this second trimester. These days I actually have the energy to get things done in preparation for our new arrival, as well as take the time to make Arielle feel like she is a part of all the excitement – which she is. I have lots planned for the next few months with her so she knows just how much she is loved.
Prepping for a busy February
And speaking of plans, we have a very busy February in front of us with a stay at The Coach House, as well as a FAM trip to Salem, a Valentine’s event at MarketStreet Lynnfield, Valentine’s Day, and Arielle’s first February school vacation. So much packed into such a short month, but I am ready for it!
What’s on TV
Since I suddenly didn’t feel the need to go to bed at 8:30 p.m. every night, we were finally able to binge a few shows that aren’t Arielle appropriate such as the third season of Emily in Paris, season two of Bridgerton, and both seasons of White Lotus. Emily in Paris is more a wanderlust watch for me – I love seeing the scenes of a city I love so much, while Bridgerton was a thirst-trap. I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about White Lotus – both seasons – but one thing is for sure, Jennifer Coolidge (a fellow Emerson alum) is a goddess!
What we Bought in January
I restocked on my favorite blonde shampoo and grabbed this thermal water spray that my mom has come to love. I gave in back in December and bought the TikTok famous fleece-lined black leggings and I love them, so I bought the nude color for a wedding I recently attended. I’ll be honest, the color is a little off for me so I think I’ll be sticking to the black ones. As I’ve been spending most of my time at home, these minimalist sports bras have been helpful. And I’m doing my best to keep up with all of our busy schedules by using this pocket-sized planner. We checked one thing off of our list to prepare for the new baby this weekend by assembling Arielle’s new big girl bed. While we won’t be pushing her to make the transition for a while, at least it will be ready for her when she gets curious.
What have you been loving (or not loving) lately? I’d love it if you’d email or DM me your recommendations.
