Despite living in the Northeast for most of my life, I hate the cold weather. Give me sunshine and 80s for three-quarters of the year, a gentle autumn in October and November, a dusting of snow for Christmas and then back to sunshine and 80s for New Years and I would be very happy. But I have traveled to Iceland in January, and the Newport Mansions in December to see the beautiful holiday decor, and to Québec City for Carnaval in February because sometimes there are places that are as beautiful in winter as they are in summer and experiences you can only have in the snow.
