Mystic, Connecticut, is a charming New England town that’s bursting with family-friendly fun. From its historic seaport and fascinating aquarium to its quaint shops and delicious eateries, there’s something to delight every member of your crew. We recently embarked on a Mystic adventure with our two little ones, and it quickly became a favorite family destination.
Our Home Base: The Hilton Mystic
Our home away from home was the Hilton Mystic, a fantastic choice for families seeking comfort and convenience. Its prime location, just minutes from downtown Mystic and the Mystic Seaport Museum, and right across from the Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mistick Village, made exploring a breeze. Dive into Marine Wonders at Mystic Aquarium
The Mystic Aquarium is a must-visit for any animal-loving family. Get up close with beluga whales, African penguins, and California sea lions. Explore the fascinating exhibits, touch stingrays in the shallow pool, and learn about marine conservation efforts. The aquarium offers interactive experiences and educational programs that will engage kids of all ages.
Set Sail for Adventure at Mystic Seaport Museum
Step back in time at the Mystic Seaport Museum, a living history museum that brings the maritime past to life. Explore historic ships, wander through a 19th-century village, and learn about the fascinating world of seafaring. Kids will love climbing aboard the vessels, participating in hands-on activities, and discovering the stories of sailors and shipbuilders. When we were there they were celebrating the Lantern Light Festival.
