Happy New Year, fellow adventurers! As we embark on a fresh start in 2025, my wanderlust is calling, and I’m already dreaming of exciting escapades with my family. While our travel calendar is still a bit open, here’s a glimpse into the destinations and experiences that are sparking my imagination:
A Taste of Europe in North America
This August, we’re hoping to head north for a taste of European charm right here in North America. Quebec City, with its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and French-Canadian culture, has been calling my name. We’re aiming to coincide our trip with the Fête de la Nouvelle-France, a vibrant festival that celebrates the region’s history and heritage.
From Quebec City, we plan to venture to Montreal for the International Balloon Festival. Imagine the girls’ faces as they witness hundreds of colorful hot air balloons filling the sky! This trip might not be as extensive as our Ontario/Upstate New York adventure last year, but it promises to be just as memorable.
Island Hopping in New England
We fell in love with Nantucket and Provincetown last summer, and this year, we’re setting our sights on Martha’s Vineyard. I haven’t been there since I was four years old, so I’m eager to rediscover its beauty and charm through my daughters’ eyes. We’re picturing bike rides along the coast, exploring charming towns, and indulging in fresh seafood.
A Winter Wonderland Adventure
The Ice Castles are coming to New Hampshire this winter, and we can’t wait to experience this magical wonderland. We’re planning a trip north in late January or early February to explore the icy sculptures, tunnels, and slides. It might be a chilly adventure, but the memories will be worth bundling up for!
Dreaming of Disney in 2026
Looking even further ahead, we’re dreaming of a return trip to Disney World in 2026. Arielle will be seven (I can’t believe how fast she’s growing!), and Aurora will be three. We might even try to squeeze the trip in before June 2026 so Aurora can still take advantage of Disney’s “under three” policy. It’s never too early to start planning for a magical Disney adventure!
Stay Tuned for More Adventures
These are just a few of the travel dreams brewing for 2025. As always, I’ll be sharing our adventures, mishaps, and everything in between. Stay tuned for travel tips, destination guides, and plenty of family fun. And if you have any recommendations for family-friendly destinations, I’d love to hear them!
