The Ultimate Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide: Family Travel Edition

July 8, 2025

Get ready, savvy parents and style-conscious travelers! The highly anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025 is here, and this year, we’re cutting through the noise to bring you The Ultimate Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide: Family Travel Edition. As a mom travel blogger who lives for chic adventures (even with little ones in tow!), I’ve meticulously curated the best luxe travel essentials, versatile fashion finds, and kid-approved gear that will elevate your family trips from ordinary to extraordinary.

Discover incredible deals on premium luggage, comfortable yet stylish apparel, and must-have beauty products perfect for your next getaway. Stop scrolling and start packing smarter with my top picks designed for the modern, on-the-go family seeking both glamour and practicality from the biggest sale of the year!

When it comes to jet-setting with little ones and a penchant for polished living, the right luggage and bags are absolutely non-negotiable. This year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale delivered some truly inspired finds that strike that perfect balance of function and fierce style.

For the littlest travelers, the Kids’ BedBox® 19-Inch Ride-On Carry-On Suitcase is genius—a rolling suitcase that doubles as a ride-on toy and even a bed! For my daily excursions, whether exploring a new city or just navigating the concrete jungle, I snapped up the Coastal Flip Lock Day Pack and its perfect companion, the Coastal Flip Lock Crossbody Bag from BAGGALLINI; these are lightweight, stylish, and keep everything organized.

For my personal carry-on, the 22-Inch Expandable Carry-On Roller from Béis is a sleek dream, offering ample space and that chic, minimalist aesthetic. But because a touch of high-low glam is my travel mantra, I also invested in the exquisitely crafted Leather Flaire Messenger Bag from MAISON de SABRÉ—perfect for keeping my laptop and essentials secure while looking utterly sophisticated.

For versatility, the Voyageur Sedona Nylon Convertible Crossbody Bag from TUMI is a lifesaver, easily transforming to suit any adventure. And for the big haul, the Opto 3 Hardside 2 Piece Set (CO/LG) Spinner Luggage from Samsonite offers durability and smooth sailing through any airport.

Finally, no stylish traveler’s collection is complete without the iconic Longchamp Large Le Pliage City Tote, which effortlessly carries everything from last-minute souvenirs to an extra pair of stilettos, making it the quintessential travel companion.

Now, for the glow-up on the go! Even when you’re racing through time zones, a stylish mom never skimps on her radiance. This sale delivered some absolutely essential beauty and accessory gems for looking effortlessly chic, no matter how wild the adventure.

First, the Supergoop! Invisible Icons SPF Set is a non-negotiable for sun-kissed skin protection – because glowing is always in, but sunburns are decidedly not. For hair that screams “I woke up like this” (even if you were up all night with a jet-lagged toddler), the Oribe Gold Lust Set with its travel-sized shampoo and conditioner is pure luxury. It’s the secret to hair that’s always perfectly polished, even after a red-eye flight. And for those moments when you need a quick dose of Parisian chic, the Yves Saint Laurent Couture Mini Eyeshadow Palette Duo offers sophisticated shimmer in a compact package.

Of course, no outfit is complete without the perfect shades, and my picks include the eternally cool Isabel Marant 51mm Cat Eye Sunglasses – because they instantly make you look like a mysterious supermodel, even if you’re just attempting to enjoy an iced latte in peace. And for comfort that doesn’t compromise on style, the Bombas Assorted 6-Pack Solid Ankle Socks are a revelation for happy feet, whether you’re exploring ancient ruins or navigating airport terminals.

Finally, for that extra touch of luxe, I couldn’t resist the Nordstrom Textured Lightweight Cashmere Scarf in the most beautiful ombré pink; it’s the perfect pop of color and warmth for any travel ensemble.

Because a true style maven knows that even when you’re globetrotting, a little sparkle is essential – but perhaps not the kind that gives you heart palpitations in an unfamiliar airport. That’s why, when I’m on the move, my precious wedding set and diamond earrings stay safe at home. Instead, I seek out dazzling dupes that offer all the glamour with none of the worry!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was a treasure trove for this very purpose. I discovered the most beautiful Demi Fine Set of 2 Rings that fill in for my everyday stack, along with a versatile Set of 3 Demi Fine Earrings that allow for chic mixing and matching. And for that essential diamond stud look, I snagged a pair of Cubic Zirconia Stud Earrings (1.0ct.) that are so brilliantly sparkly, no one would ever guess they aren’t the real deal. These pieces let me maintain my polished aesthetic, no matter the destination, ensuring I always feel like myself—a little bit Holly Golightly, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and always ready for the next adventure!

When it comes to building a travel wardrobe, I live by the philosophy that every piece should work overtime, seamlessly blending comfort with that undeniable “I just flew in from Paris” allure. This Nordstrom Anniversary Sale allowed me to curate some truly exceptional women’s fashion finds.

First, for sweet dreams on the road (or just lounging luxuriously in your hotel), the BedHead Pajamas in their chic “Let’s Go Shopping” pattern, adorned with Eiffel Towers and Parisian storefronts, are simply divine. They make you feel glamorous even when you’re just ordering room service.

For the ultimate plane ride essential, nothing beats the Zella Live In High Waist Leggings – they’re incredibly comfortable, flattering, and versatile enough to go from your flight to exploring a new city.

Because unpredictable weather is part of any adventure, I snagged two show-stopping coats: the Barbour Lavender Waterproof Hooded Coat in Light Sand, offering classic British elegance with practical protection, and the incredibly edgy yet timeless Avec Les Filles Hooded Cape Raincoat – a true statement piece that keeps you dry in the chicest way possible.

And finally, for that enduring classic silhouette that always looks polished, the Open Edit The Icon Cigarette Pants are my new go-to black travel trousers; they’re effortlessly sleek and can be dressed up or down for any itinerary.

Because happy kids make for happier travels, I also scoured the Nordstrom Sale for those fun, adventure-ready pieces that my girls will actually want to wear, whether we’re navigating a new city or cozying up on a plane.

For stylish comfort that can go from sightseeing to souvenir shopping, the Zella Girl Kids’ Tiered Skort and the Nordstrom Kids’ Stovepipe Pants in that luscious pink berry color are perfect—chic, comfy, and durable. I couldn’t resist the Tucker + Tate Kids’ Cotton Graphic T-Shirt; it’s got a cool NYC vibe that will be absolutely perfect for our upcoming summer trip to the Big Apple!

For ultimate airport and plane coziness (and because every little traveler needs a chic lounge set), the Honeydew Kids’ Snuggle Up Print Lounge Sweatshirt & Joggers Set in that adorable red bow print is simply darling. And for those cooler, adventurous climates, the Tucker + Tate Kids’ Print Faux Fur Lined Hooded Jacket in tan natural leopard offers warmth with a serious dose of wild style.

Finally, because practicality can still be pretty, the Sorel Kids’ Whitney II Plus Waterproof Snow Boot in Pink Dawn is ideal for snowy escapes, keeping tiny toes warm and dry while looking utterly charming. These are the pieces that make packing for little ones a joy, ensuring they’re ready for any journey with a smile and a dash of their own unique flair!

Now, while my shopping cart might predominantly feature fabulous finds for myself and my little fashionistas, this is a family guide after all! And even the most stylish mom needs a dapper partner in crime. So, I’d be remiss not to share a few sharp pieces from the Nordstrom Sale that I’d absolutely pick out for my husband – because a well-dressed man always elevates the travel experience.

The Bonobos Chino 2.0 Pants are a no-brainer; they’re incredibly versatile and can go from a casual stroll through a new city to a nice dinner out. For unpredictable weather, the Save the Duck Battersea Hooded Raincoat caught my eye – a new-to-me brand that looks both practical and polished. When it’s time for some active relaxation, the Zella Golf Flyer Shorts are perfect.

For classic layering, the Boss Sidney Quarter Zip Pullover is a smart choice, while the Rodd & Gunn Palm Beach Sports Fit Short Sleeve Linen Button-Up Shirt screams effortless vacation vibes. The Northpark Cotton Blend Polo from Robert Barakett offers refined comfort, and to complete any look, the Cole Haan GrandPrø Rally LTT Low Top Sneaker provides both style and supreme comfort for miles of exploring. These are the pieces that ensure he looks sharp and ready for anything, from a five-star meal to an unexpected adventure.

And finally, let’s talk about the foundation of any great travel ensemble: the shoes! For a mom on the go, footwear isn’t just about fashion; it’s about being able to comfortably chase after little ones, navigate bustling airports, and still feel utterly fabulous. My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks perfectly blend style and functionality.

The TOMS Kai Espadrille Flatform Sandal offers effortless vacation vibes with a comfortable lift, while the Blondo Victory Waterproof Bootie is a non-negotiable for unpredictable weather, keeping you chic and dry no matter the downpour.

For those moments when you need a little edge, the Betsey Johnson Kellan Platform Boot and the super sparkly Betsey Johnson Zoe Platform Sneaker bring that rock ‘n’ roll flair without sacrificing comfort.

And speaking of comfortable glamour, The Platform Sandals from MARGAUX truly surprised me – they look sophisticated enough for a fancy dinner out, yet feel wonderfully cushioned for extended wear.

My little secret? The Valor Platform Sneaker from DV by Dolce Vita! While technically kids’ sizes, my women’s 7.5 fits perfectly into a kids’ size 5, offering a budget-friendly way to snag these stylish, comfortable kicks. These are the shoes that empower you to explore, play, and live beautifully, all while looking effortlessly cool.

There you have it, my darlings! My ultimate guide to conquering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale with a family travel lens. From chic luggage that makes airport dashes feel like runway struts, to beauty essentials that keep you glowing on the go, and even those little luxuries for the kids and the dapper dads – this edit is all about elevating your adventures without sacrificing style or sanity.

But trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg! I’ve been busy curating even more fantastic finds, from those perfect statement accessories to the fashion pieces that are pure rock ‘n’ roll glam.

Head over to my Substack for an exclusive look at all my other personal picks, including those irresistible emerald gems and the shoes I just couldn’t resist (even if they’re not always practical!). Happy shopping, and here’s to living beautifully, one stylish trip at a time!

How to tackle 250 years of history with kids in to How to tackle 250 years of history with kids in tow—without a single mid-1800s meltdown! ✨🕰️

Let’s be honest: taking kids to a sprawling, 200-acre outdoor museum can sound intimidating on paper. But our day exploring @oldsturbridgevillage was an absolute dream, and it turns out that 1830s New England charm is the ultimate antidote to modern screen fatigue.

With the entire nation celebrating America’s 250th anniversary this year, the village is buzzing with an electric, celebratory energy. Here is our family edit on how we made this living history leap a massive hit for the little ones—and an effortlessly cool day out for us:

✨ 1. Ditch the Grid, Let Them Lead: We threw out the rigid sightseeing schedule the second we crunched onto the gravel paths. Whether they wanted to spend twenty minutes asking the cobbler questions or follow a wandering flock of sheep, letting their natural curiosity set the pace was our secret weapon.
✨ 2. Zero in on the Sensory Magic: Kids learn by doing, seeing, and touching! We prioritized the high-action stops: the mesmerizing glow of the blacksmith’s hearth, the working farm animals, and the stagecoach rides.
✨ 3. Ride the 250th Wave: The 250th anniversary festivities are pure visual and auditory gold for children. The rhythmic fife and drum parades and lively historical reenactments captured their attention in a way a textbook never could! 🥁🇺🇸
✨ 4. Glam on the Gravel: Practicality is chic. We paired tailored layers with our most comfortable, heavy-rotation walking sneakers, packed plenty of snacks, and embraced the slow, unplugged pace of village life.

Watching the kids trade screen time for hands-on discovery while we got to stroll arm-in-arm through sun-drenched heirloom gardens? That is the holy grail of family travel. Proof that you never have to sacrifice style, spirit, or your sanity to learn something new together! 🌿👟

Who says you have to cross oceans to find a little Who says you have to cross oceans to find a little legendary inspiration? ✈️✨

Little known fact about me: I have always had a wild dream of getting my pilot’s license. I actually flew a plane once, and that feeling of total freedom, altitude, and pure rebellion has stayed with me ever since.

So you can imagine my absolute delight when I found out that the ultimate queen of the skies—Amelia Earhart—used to call Medford, Massachusetts home in the 1920s! Before she was breaking world records and rewriting the history books, she was living right here on Brooks Street while working as a social worker. And today is her birthday! She would have been 128 years old today.

We took a little afternoon stroll to check out the plaque outside her historic house, and then headed into downtown Medford for a coffee and to take in this incredible mural on the side of Colleen’s. It is the absolute coolest tribute to a woman who refused to let anyone tell her how high she could fly.

Here is your reminder today to put on the aviators, book the flight, take the risk, and own your boldest, most unapologetic ambitions. 🥂

When the craving for true Parisian luxury hits but a transatlantic flight isn’t on the morning agenda, you improvise. I threw on my favorite oversized sunnies, packed the girls into the car, and bee-lined it to Michette Bakery in Somerville.

Tasting Table recently named them one of the 14 Best French Bakeries in the entire US, and let me tell you, darlings—the hype is incredibly real. The pain au chocolat is an absolute masterpiece of flaky, buttery perfection that practically transported me right back to strolling the Seine in 2016. It’s the ultimate luxe morning: world-class pastry, toddler sticky fingers, and zero apologies.

Where is your absolute favorite local spot to grab a pastry and pretend you’re on vacation? Drop it in the comments so I can plan my next escape! 👇🏼✈️

The visiting tall ships might have sailed off into The visiting tall ships might have sailed off into the sunset, but darling, we still have the ultimate classic right here in Boston. ⚓️✨

If you’re looking for an epic family outing that doesn’t require a trust fund or a meticulously color-coded itinerary, a trip to the Charlestown Navy Yard is it. The U.S.S. Constitution is the grand dame of the harbor, and she is always ready for her close-up.

Here is the ultimate cheat code for a high-low glam day out:

The Ship: It is completely FREE to step aboard and explore “Old Ironsides” (just remember adults need to bring an ID for security!).

The Visitor’s Center: Also free, and the perfect spot to cool down and get your bearings.

The Museum: If you want to dive deeper into the history without emptying your wallet, simply grab a pass from your local library (yes, the library, not the museum!) before you go. It waives the admission, making the whole day basically free.

Less money spent on tickets means more budget for post-adventure lattes and ice cream. That’s just smart girl math.

Have you taken the kids yet?
